[FESTIVAL EVENT] Round Robin

I will provide you with a small excerpt, and you will follow. Still confused? Just look at the rules.

Round Robin Rules
- This event, I repeat, STARTS NOW.
- Members who are participating are listed under the cut, and you will go in the exact order from that list.
- Wait until your turn. Don't skip anyone unless the person before you does not post in a timely manner.
- If you can't think of anything, just post the word SKIP and the next member will be allowed to go. You will not be taken out of the game if you post this.
- If a member does not post within 15 HOURS, you will be skipped automatically for the first time. If you are skipped for a third time, you will be taken off of the Round Robin list. Please don't abuse the time limit.
- Remember that each post has a word limit. You CANNOT double post, so make sure that you get your story/point across effectively.
- YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A WRITING GOD FOR THIS CONTEST, BUT YOU MUST AT LEAST BE ABLE TO FORM A LOGICAL SENTENCE AND PASS THE STORY ALONG. I do NOT want to see any net speak during this. I will just delete the post and ask the next member to continue if that is the case.
- Please refrain from commenting on someone's piece until after the event is over.
- If you can't participate any longer, please make a comment here.
- If you'd like to participate in the game, you must comment here. Don't just jump in to the game. I'll just delete your comment.
- And while this is hard for me to say this...NO PR0N GUYS! D:

He grabbed a chair and spun it around before sitting. His gaze never left her, analyzing every little movement. "Do you care to explain?"

Tenten stiffened at the accusing tone in his voice. She carefully put down the kunai that she had been inspecting and met his gaze evenly.

“Explain what, exactly?”

“I want to know why you've been slacking off with your training.”

Excuse me?!” Tenten's eyes flashed dangerously. “I log at least 50% more hours training than we're required to put in and I put in more hours of target practice than anyone we know. I hardly consider that slacking.”

Neji considered her angry expression and reconsidered his choice of words. Perhaps offending his friend and teammate wasn't the best way to question her... and for some strange reason, he hated when she was angry with him.

“I didn't mean it like that, Tenten,” he said quietly. It wasn't exactly an apology, but it was as close to one as his Hyuuga pride would allow. “Recently, you've been spent less time training than you have in the past.”

“Yes,” Tenten admitted grudgingly.

Tenten deflated a bit as she thought back on her last mission. It had been a solo one, due to the low risk factor. She had been assigned to escort a young family back to their hometown which was approximately a three week journey traveling at a comfortable pace (for civilians). The young couple and their child were so happy together! They didn't have much, but they had each other. Watching them should have made her happy. Instead, it only made her sad... It puzzled her, until she realized why.

She wanted that.

Oh, she was pragmatic enough to know that she would never be happy with the quiet life of a civilian. (She would go mad with boredom within weeks!) But she wanted something more than going home to an empty apartment at the end of every day. She had spent so many years focusing on her professional life (honing her weapon skills to perfection) that she had completely neglected her personal life.

That had to change.

So she started sacrificing a few hours training here and there.

“It's complicated... and personal.”

Neji frowned at her deliberate vagueness.

“I've just been working on another project. Okay? It's no big deal.” Tenten rapidly put all her weapons away, sealing them into her scrolls with a hand sign and a bit of chakra. “Speaking of which... I need to go. I'll see you later, Neji.”

And then she was gone...
