The Newbie Takes on Noir
Er . . . hello!

So, being relatively new to the 'Naruto' fandom - not to reading it, really, but writing it definitely - I've been looking about for advice about my newest baby, which is a Neji/Ten noir-esque mystery. Neji/Ten being, as you all no doubt know, the backbone of all that is awesome in life. Neji is a PI who's investigating the disappearance of the heir to the city's prime crime family.

I got madly inspired recently by films like The Devil in a Blue Dress and The Black Dahlia and thought to myself, Self, wouldn't Tenten make an awesome femme fatale? And thus 'Red Dresses at Ayame's' was born . . .

So please tell me what you think?

Title: Red Dresses at Ayame's
Characters: Neji, Tenten, Lee, Ayame, Tsunade, Hanabi
Genre: Romance/Mystery
Rating: PG-13, 'cept for some swearing, so if you have virgin eyes, I'd cover 'em . . .

(“I didn’t get a name,” said the brunet police inspector eventually. “Looked Chinese, dressed entirely in red. Didn’t speak, barely blinked. Would’ve thought she was a goon, ‘cept she was tiny, tinier than even Haruno, who I assume hired you.”)

Heh, I've already raved on ff.net about this fic (handle there cyberwolf, btw) but I just wanted to drop a line again. The chance to fangirl over Tenten, the devil in the red-dress mode, is too much.

*hums* I've been searching for the daughter of the devil himself
I've been searching for an angel in white
I've been waiting for a woman who's a little of both
And I can feel her but she's nowhere in sight...

I've already raved: but again, that you're actually reading one of my fics kind of blows my mind. I've read the Ita/Ten chapter of 'Flotsam and Jetsam' so many times that it's ridiculous.

So, at the risk of sounding repetitive: Thank you!!
