Opinion post!
Let's have a little discussion once in a while.

Yesterday I was watching the dub (yes, even though it's awful), and they showed the Hinata vs Neji episode of the chuunin exam. While I was watching Neji being such an awful jerk, I wondered what Tenten would have thought if she had seen this fight?

Neji was an arrogant bastard before Naruto "changed" him, and almost killed Hinata out of rage when she said he was probably suffering more than her. Would Tenten be disappointed in him if she saw how he acted? Bullying Hinata and all?

I think she'd feel sorry for him. Sorry he thinks this way, and sad that Hinata is right about him suffering. Maybe helpless that she can't help? I think that if Tenten is in love with him, (and we all know she is) she must have fallen in love after he changed.

What do you think?

Another thing I've been wondering about, in episode 34, (the episode after Sasuke goes psycho and breaks Zaku's arms) when Lee is talking to Sakura, Tenten is nearby and has some kind of annoyed reaction at this, and I was like "Wut? It kinda looks like she's jealous."
If you don't remember, you can watch it here: at 5:15

That was even in the manga. But what does it mean? It looks like...LeeTen hints? o_O Any one has a better explanation?

Obviously Neji said some things to his team about the Branch/Main thing, but I find it doubtful that Neji was demonstrative about his motivations to the team. (Gai would probably know more due to his access to records). Tenten was probably surprised at the intensity of his match, but given his attitude toward Lee it seems doubtful Neji's cruelty would really shock her.

Keep in mind that Tenten IS a ninja in a ninja village. A few things things about her history and attitude suggest she's more mature and may have had a harder time than other kunoichi her age. Sure, Hinata's resolve was impressive and she's innocent of any willful wrongdoing. But so what? To Neji, it wasn't really about Hinata herself. And no kunoichi can expect an opponent to cut them ANY slack. If they do, they really should give up.

I guess I just wouldn't assume Tenten is a puppies and kittens and forgiveness kind of girl. To me, she actually seems more like the sort that would understand holding a grudge. Especially over something so important.

As for the Sakura/Lee moment in the FoD... Well, the annoyance part is easy to see. Helping out your rivals or opponents and collecting an injury for them during a very important team test? Expected given Lee's infatuation, but still irritating. Jealousy? Yeah, could be a Lee/Tenten vibe there. On the other hand, it could be just be jealousy that Sakura has a demonstrative and chivalrous suitor. Lots of girls Tenten's age would want that, and whether or not has a thing for Lee, I sure she'd knows better than to devalue his devotion just because he's got big eyebrows.

Actually, that's how I interpreted that scene as well! You've said exactly what I was thinking! :D
